The Nazareth Hospital Medical Library was established in 1993 to serve the Nazareth Academic School of Nursing and the hospital’s medical staff. It is the only library in Nazareth, a city of around 80,000 people, and is unique in providing medical literature for all of Nazareth’s hospitals.
The library is part of the medical libraries consortium that is led by Tel Aviv University, the aim of which is to provide support for all hospital libraries that are not affiliated with universities.
The library strives to remain up to date with developing technologies to improve and enhance its services. Our virtual library provides hospital-wide desktop access to online databases, e-books and electronic journals on a 24/7 basis from campus and off-campus.
The library features study space, reading corners and computer stations with a link to local and international information systems, including Wi-Fi connections to the internet.
Library staff are available to provide assistance with searches, facilitate document delivery, offer training sessions, loan books & journals and assist with preparing applications for academic promotion.
